This couple liked the intertwined trees in the circular ketubah. Because they wanted the full Aramaic traditional text as well as a full egalitarian text in English, the shape needed to be widened to accommodate the larger texts. One of the trees is laden with apples, the other with pomegranates. In the lush garden, Birds of Paradise represent the groom's living in Hawaii, and sun flowers are his favorite flower. The day lilies are for the bride who resides in the Northeast. This is a good example of how elements from an existing ketuba can spark ideas for a new design.
